Impact Leads

Breakaway Impact Leads Are a follow on from the original Breakaway lead weight and is an original concept invented by this company and is protected by uk patent. We are often asked why do you need such a variety and styles of leads, The most import aspect of the Impact lead is the built in baited hook release system that releases on hitting the water (which hopefully most cast do) on impact the baited hook is released doesn’t matter how deep or shallow the water is

All leads in this system are made with the same coned and hook retention clip so whatever rig you use the baited hook will always be held during the cast but needs to be tight into the clip. When making your rigs attach the Impact lead into  a fastlink or your preferred clip you can then change your weight at anytime depending on tidal flow.  weather conditions or  target fish. If all your rigs are designed to use impact leads you can change at anytime without changing the complete rig. as the tide flow decreases drop down the weight of lead in slow tide conditions try the flat or non wired lead or continental style lead for slow moving baits that search for the fish and bottom changes. in some areas we have troughs and banks and gripped leads are not always the best choice and will stick were you cast, a plain lead may move and drop into a trough which is a natural fish run and food trap ( in the USA they call these troughs the Gut a appropriate name as it hold the food the fish are searching for. In this range of leads we have the heavy wired standard Impact lead colour coded cone  . Yellow for 150grm. Red for 170grm  and lighter wired Blue cone 125grm and green coned 200grm we keep to this colour system regardless of style. We also have the lighter wired version with luminous cones and nose cap in 150 and 170grm, The softy lead has wires protruding from the nose and preferred when fishing snaggy ground if snagged into lost line and tackle there is a good chance you maybe able to pull out of the snag as the wires straighten,
