Mini Links (new from Breakaway) Made at the request of Rob Tuck (tucky) who fishes with a long continental rod with very small eyes. He wanted a quick change link that would link his rig to his 25lb shock leader and would be strong enough to cast 3-4oz leads over 150yds, these clips are made from heat treated stainless and are approx 25lb test and are 1/2 the size of the spinlink, used by many as the preferered quick change beach fishing link.. I’ve been using the spinlinks for attaching large flies for Tarpon etc. Rather than having to cut knots when changing flies and reducing the rubbing leader length these links are great and the main advantage is that you can change flies really quickly. We’ve caught a lot of Tarpon using these!
Secretly we were wishing for a less conspicuous link and here it is the Mini Link! We’re going fishing in the Bahamas in April/May and will give them a try-out to see if they are 25lb strong.
